XOTO (pronounced ex-OH-toe) was developed by founder and CEO Tim Huntzinger, an automotive and aerospace design expert with experience in some of the top companies in the business. He holds a BFA in Industrial Design – Transportation from BYU and an MS in Industrial Design from the ArtCenter College of Design. As it happens, he also loves motorcycle riding.

While motorcycles are fun, save gas, cut through traffic and always find a place to park, they’re not always safe or comfortable. As someone too familiar with the dangers of riding, Tim said: “How can I make riding safer while keeping it fun?” Three wheels are safer than two, but the stiff turns of typical 3-wheelers cut the fun out of the ride.

The solution?

(1) Build a vehicle with two back wheels that lean and adjust as you turn, giving you the stability of a 3-wheeler with the feeling of riding a 2-wheeler.

(2) Put those leaning wheels on an electric scooter to save gas and the environment while giving you a more comfortable, quiet ride.

The result is XOTO: a revolutionary 3-wheeled electric light utility vehicle that delivers astonishing stability, maneuverability, safety, utility, and FUN.
